Research & Innovation
Where geneticsbecomes yield.
DSIR-approved R&D research farms, molecular breeding laboratories and a breeder-led culture — the scientific engine behind every Seed Park hybrid.

Government Recognition
Backed by DSIR-recognized R&D labs.
Seed Park's research programme is formally recognized by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India — a distinction held by a select group of seed companies. It certifies that our breeding farms, molecular laboratories and evaluation protocols meet national standards for industrial research, and it keeps our scientists accountable to the highest benchmark in the country.
The Seed Park Method
Eight chapters,one discipline.
A single unbroken chain from research to farmer — every chapter measured, documented and accountable.
01
Research
Every hybrid begins as a hypothesis. Our breeders map germplasm diversity, identify heterotic pools and define the ideotype each Indian agro-climate demands.
02
Advanced Genetics
Marker-assisted selection, doubled-haploid speed breeding and genomic prediction compress a decade of conventional breeding into focused cycles.
03
Hybrid Development
Thousands of experimental crosses are synthesised each season, combining disease resistance, stress tolerance and yield potential into single genotypes.
04
Multi-Location Trials
Candidates are evaluated across 500+ trial locations spanning arid, irrigated and rainfed ecologies — only the consistent performers advance.
05
Production
Nucleus and breeder seed are multiplied under strict isolation distances by trained grower networks across diverse seed-production belts.
06
Quality
Every lot passes physical purity, germination, vigour and genetic purity testing in ISTA-aligned laboratories before it earns the Seed Park seal.
07
High-Performance Products
Released hybrids carry documented performance data — yield, maturity, tolerance and agronomy — so farmers know exactly what they are planting.
08
Farmers
The final laboratory is the farmer's field. Agronomy support, demonstration plots and harvest feedback close the loop back into research.
Hybrid Development Pipeline
Five years. Five gates.Zero shortcuts.
01
Year 0–1
Germplasm & Parent Line Development
Elite inbreds are created and characterised using phenotyping and molecular markers.
02
Year 1–2
Hybrid Synthesis
Directed crosses combine complementary traits into thousands of experimental hybrids.
03
Year 2–3
Station Screening
Preliminary yield trials at R&D farms eliminate all but the top performers.
04
Year 3–4
Multi-Location Evaluation
Advanced hybrids are tested across target ecologies for stability and adaptability.
05
Year 4–5
Scale-Up & Release
Winners enter seed production, quality certification and commercial launch.
